Born on July 28, 1957 in Echmiadzin, Armenia.
In 1977, after graduating from the School of Fine Arts f. Terlemezyan in Yerevan continued his education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Yerevan under the direction of prof. Ara Bekaryan, who had a profound influence on the further work of the young artist.
The next period of Gagik Parsamian life is connected with participating in numerous exhibitions.
Since 1988 member of the union of Artists of Armenia and since 2007, admitted to Association of Polish Artist and Designers. In 1989 he was appointed curator of the National Gallery of Armenia, branch in Echmiadzin.
Since 1994 he lives and create in Gdańsk in Poland. In 2017 received the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta from Andrzej Duda the President of the Republic of Poland. The artist was honored for exceptional activities for the integration of Armenians in Polish society, for their contribution to the development of Polish-Armenian cultural cooperation.
In 2016 he has been elected president of the Armenian Union in Gdańsk.
Numerous of artist works is located in National Galleries as well as in private collections worldwide.
